The role supporting the sales team by understanding product features, assisting clients with basic technical queries and contributing to lead generation and sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Engagement

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calls, networking, client outreach, and market research.
  2. Engage with prospective clients to understand their technical needs, challenges, and business objectives.
  3. Present and demonstrate products, solutions, or technical services clearly and convincingly.
  4. Develop and deliver technical presentations, product demos, and proposal discussions.
  5. Customize product recommendations based on the client’s requirements and technical environment.
  6. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Technical & Product Expertise

  1. Develop in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, software, hardware, or technical solutions.
  2. Translate complex technical features into clear value propositions for customers.
  3. Provide guidance on product usage, compatibility, installation processes, and technical benefits.
  4. Collaborate with engineering, product, or technical support teams to address customer inquiries.

Sales Coordination & Administration

  1. Prepare and manage quotations, proposals, product documentation, and pricing strategies.
  2. Follow up on leads, track sales opportunities, and update CRM systems with accurate records.
  3. Negotiate contracts, discuss pricing, and finalize business deals.
  4. Coordinate with logistics or operations teams to ensure timely delivery and installation.

Market Research & Strategy

  1. Study market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  2. Gather feedback from clients and share insights with the product and marketing teams.
  3. Support marketing efforts by participating in trade shows, exhibitions, workshops, and promotional events.

Post-Sales Support

  1. Provide after-sales service, troubleshooting support, and product training when required.
  2. Ensure smooth onboarding for clients and help them with queries related to installation, configuration, or usage.
  3. Maintain a long-term support relationship to enhance customer loyalty and referrals.

 

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  1. Strong understanding of the company’s product domain (IT solutions, electronics, engineering, software, machinery, etc.).
  2. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
  3. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  4. Familiarity with CRM systems, sales tools, and reporting dashboards.

Sales & Communication Skills

  1. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Confident in handling client meetings, demos, and negotiations.
  3. Persuasive selling ability with a customer-centric approach.
  4. Effective listening skills to understand client requirements accurately.

 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Business Administration, or a related field (depending on industry).
  2. Diploma or certification in technical sales, IT products, or industrial solutions is a plus.
  3. Freshers with strong technical aptitude and communication skills may also be considered in some industries.
  4. Experience in B2B sales, solution selling, or software/industrial product sales is highly advantageous.
