Supply Chain Operations

The Supply Chain Operations Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective flow of goods, information, and processes across the supply chain. This role focuses on analyzing data, optimizing operations, improving performance, and ensuring coordination between procurement, production, logistics, warehousing, and distribution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proficient in using data-driven insights to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Analysis & Reporting

1. Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
2. Prepare weekly/monthly dashboards and KPI reports on inventory, logistics performance, procurement efficiency, and order fulfillment.
3. Analyze demand forecasts and help develop accurate supply plans.
4. Monitor supplier performance and evaluate lead times, service levels, and cost efficiency.

Operational Coordination

1. Support daily supply chain operations including order processing, logistics tracking, and inventory management.
2. Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely deliveries.
3. Assist in resolving supply chain issues such as delays, inventory shortages, and shipment discrepancies.
4. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Process Improvement

1. Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process enhancements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
2. Contribute to automation initiatives, workflow mapping, and digital transformation projects across the supply chain.
3. Perform root cause analysis for recurring supply chain issues and propose corrective actions.

Inventory & Logistics Management

1. Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and reorder points to support continuous supply and prevent stockouts.
2. Help streamline transportation planning, route optimization, and carrier management.
3. Track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation.

Systems & Data Tools

1. Maintain and update supply chain systems (ERP, WMS, TMS, forecasting tools).
2. Support the implementation of new supply chain software modules, upgrades, and integrations.
3. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all operations and reporting tools.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

1. Work closely with sales, finance, production, procurement, and warehouse teams to align operational strategies.
2. Participate in supply chain meetings, review sessions, and performance discussions.
3. Support vendors and internal stakeholders with timely information and operational updates.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical & Analytical Skills

1. Strong analytical ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
2. Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query) and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).
3. Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
4. Understanding of supply chain processes including procurement, warehousing, logistics, and demand planning.

Operational Skills

1. Knowledge of inventory control concepts, order management, production planning, and logistics workflows.
2. Ability to troubleshoot supply chain issues and coordinate cross-functionally for quick resolution.
3. Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
2. Knowledge in supply chain operations, logistics, procurement, data analysis, supply chain analytics, ERP systems, advanced Excel, or operations dashboards.
3. Certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPIM, Six Sigma, or Lean Management are an added advantage.
4. Freshers with strong analytical skills and relevant internships.
