The Operations Analyst Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations analytics, improving workflow efficiency, and leading a team of analysts to ensure smooth business processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to optimize operational performance through data-driven insights. The ideal candidate can manage teams, resolve process gaps, and ensure operational excellence across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Process Management

  1. Oversee end-to-end operational processes and ensure seamless execution across teams.
  2. Analyze and evaluate daily operations to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  3. Develop workflow optimization strategies to enhance productivity and reduce errors.
  4. Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for management review.
  5. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, quality standards, and operational guidelines.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  1. Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of operations analysts to meet departmental goals.
  2. Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback for continuous improvement.
  3. Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills in data analysis, reporting, and operational tools.
  4. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Data & Analytics

  1. Use analytical tools to track KPIs, forecast operational trends, and support strategic decision-making.
  2. Interpret data to provide actionable insights for process improvement and cost optimization.
  3. Collaborate with IT and data teams to implement automated reporting solutions.
  4. Perform root-cause analysis to address operational issues and recommend corrective actions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Work closely with departments such as Finance, HR, Customer Service, and Product teams to streamline workflows.
  2. Coordinate with leadership teams to support business planning and new initiatives.
  3. Ensure smooth communication between teams to resolve operational challenges.

Project & Change Management

  1. Lead operational improvement projects and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
  2. Implement new systems, tools, and processes that enhance operational quality and efficiency.
  3. Track project performance, ensure alignment with business goals, and report progress to stakeholders.

 

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical & Analytical Skills

  1. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  2. Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
  3. Good understanding of operational KPIs, forecasting, performance metrics, and business analytics.
  4. Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.

  1. Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate a team.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Ability to handle conflict, manage deadlines, and make decisions under pressure.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in operations analysis, business operations, or process improvement roles.
  3. Minimum 1–2 years of experience leading teams or supervising analysts.
  4. Experience with analytics tools (Excel, SQL, BI dashboards) is preferred.
  5. Certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Yellow Belt) are an added advantage.
  6. Experience working in corporate, service-based, or process-driven industries is beneficial.
