Looking for a strong hospital procurement professional to lead and structure the Purchase and Supply Chain Management function across locations. The role requires a hands-on manager who can transform an unstructured setup into a disciplined, process-driven, corporate-style procurement and inventory management system.

 

The selected candidate will be expected to improve procurement efficiency, inventory controls, vendor management, approval workflows, and reporting discipline while ensuring timely availability of medicines, consumables, and routine hospital supplies.

 

  1. Key responsibilities
  • Lead the purchase, stores, and supply chain function across locations.
  • Drive sourcing, comparative evaluation, vendor negotiations, and commercial closure.
  • Create, review, and standardize vendor contracts, rate contracts, and procurement terms.
  • Develop reorder systems, stock norms, and replenishment planning mechanisms.
  • Monitor inventory movement, ageing, non-moving stock, and expiry-risk items.
  • Implement process controls for indents, approvals, purchase orders, goods receipt, and issue tracking.
  • Coordinate closely with pharmacy for procurement planning and inventory optimization.
  • Work with finance and operations to improve control, compliance, and reporting discipline.
  • Build dashboards and MIS to track cost, inventory, savings, stock-outs, and vendor performance.
  • Coach and supervise the team to build accountability and process adherence.

  1. System/ERP Exposure

 

The organization will be using KareXpert. Prior KareXpert experience is not mandatory, but the candidate should have worked on a structured ERP, hospital information system, inventory system, or procurement platform and should be comfortable driving process discipline through system usage.

 

  1. Educational Qualifications

 

Preferred qualifications - MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, Materials Management, or Hospital Administration.

 

  1. Candidate profile required
  • 8-10+ years of total experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in hospital / healthcare purchase or SCM.
  • Preference for candidates from hospital chains or large medical colleges.
  • Should ideally have handled a hospital environment of 300 beds or more.
  • Multi-location management experience is preferred.
  • Exposure to NABH environment will be a strong advantage.
  • Should be comfortable managing a team and driving change in an evolving setup.
