The Business Analyst Manager plays a crucial role in driving organizational growth by analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating business needs into effective solutions. This role requires strong analytical thinking, leadership qualities, and the ability to collaborate across departments. The ideal candidate will be strategic, data-driven, and capable of leading a team of analysts to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Strategy

  1. Lead the analysis of business workflows, systems, and processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  2. Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and process documentation.
  3. Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and business impact assessments.
  4. Collaborate with leadership to define business goals, KPIs, and strategic priorities.
  5. Support the development and optimization of business models, product flows, and organizational processes.

Project Leadership

  1. Oversee and guide a team of business analysts in delivering high-quality analysis and project documentation.
  2. Work closely with project managers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  3. Evaluate project risks and assist with mitigation planning.
  4. Ensure timely delivery of requirements, testing support, and post-implementation reviews.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  1. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions to gather detailed business requirements.
  2. Act as a liaison between technical teams, business units, and leadership to ensure clarity of communication.
  3. Manage stakeholder expectations through structured updates, documentation, and presentations.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  1. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to support decision-making using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
  2. Monitor performance metrics and prepare business performance reports with actionable insights.
  3. Ensure data accuracy, documentation standards, and reporting consistency.

Technology & Process Improvement

  1. Identify automation opportunities, technology enhancements, and system integrations to improve efficiency.
  2. Support digital transformation initiatives by mapping current vs. future state processes.
  3. Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), support system rollouts, and ensure smooth transitions.

Team Leadership

  1. Mentor and guide business analysts in methodology, documentation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
  2. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support training initiatives.
  3. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical & Analytical Skills

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with expertise in requirement gathering.
  2. Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and working knowledge of SQL.
  3. Strong understanding of business process modeling (BPMN), workflow diagrams, and documentation techniques.
  4. Ability to create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and process maps.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple business language.
  3. Strong facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  4. Effective presentation and storytelling ability using reports, slides, and dashboards.

  1. Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana, MS Project).
  2. Understanding of ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems.
  3. Awareness of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC cycle.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or related discipline.
  2. 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  3. Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile BA, or Scrum Master are highly preferred.
  4. Experience in managing cross-functional teams and delivering end-to-end projects.
  5. Proven experience in digital transformation, automation projects, or enterprise system implementation is an added advantage.
