Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The AI Team Leader is responsible for guiding a team of AI engineers, data scientists, and machine learning specialists to design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions that drive business value. This role combines technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to ensure the AI initiatives align with organizational goals, deliver innovative solutions, and maintain ethical AI practices. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with hands-on experience in AI technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of AI engineers, data scientists, and machine learning specialists.
2. Define the AI strategy and roadmap in alignment with organizational objectives.
3. Oversee the design, development, deployment, and optimization of AI and machine learning models and solutions.
4. Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to identify AI opportunities that enhance processes, products, and services.
5. Ensure AI solutions are scalable, maintainable, and follow best practices in code, data handling, and architecture.
6. Drive innovation by evaluating emerging AI technologies, tools, and methodologies.
7. Manage AI project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
8. Implement AI governance, ethical standards, and compliance measures to ensure responsible AI deployment.
9. Monitor AI model performance, retrain models as necessary, and refine algorithms for accuracy and efficiency.
10. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
11. Promote a culture of knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and innovation within the AI team.

Required Skills & Competencies:

1. Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision techniques.
2. Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or similar.
3. Expertise in programming languages like Python, R, Java, or C++.
4. Proficiency in data management, feature engineering, model evaluation, and deployment pipelines.
5. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud AI services.
6. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and algorithmic thinking skills.
7. Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a technical team.
8. Strong communication skills for presenting complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
9. Knowledge of AI ethics, data privacy, and responsible AI practices.
10. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data science roles, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership position.
3. Proven track record of successfully leading AI projects from concept to deployment.
4. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business-driven AI solutions.
5. Certifications in AI, ML, or cloud-based AI platforms are an added advantage.
